IVF in vitro reproduction/ICSI single sperm injection is a method of in vitro fertilization that is performed in a laboratory culture dish.

The main difference between IVF in vitro reproduction and ICSI single sperm injection is the way the sperm fertilize the egg. IVF usually involves placing eggs and sperm in a culture dish for self-fertilization, while ICSI injects selected sperm directly into the egg.

ICSI single sperm injection usually achieves good fertilization results and effectively reduces fertilization problems caused by egg and sperm abnormalities. For people with serious sperm problems, such as high sperm DNA fragmentation rates, a history of fertilization failure, or poor embryo quality, doctors may recommend using a high-multiple IMSI screening method for injection. IMSI technology uses a high-power microscope to select sperm to better select sperm with appropriate appearance and fragmentation rate to be combined with eggs for fertilization.

Procedure: Oocytes are taken 9-14 days after stimulating ovulation in a woman's ovaries, high-quality eggs are transferred to a culture dish, stored in an incubator, and when the time is ripe, the embryologist combines the mature eggs with healthy sperm, and checks the fertilization results 16-18 hours later.
