1. Essential differences
Artificialinsemination: Insemination in vivo. The optimized sperm (husband or sperm donor) is directly injected into the female reproductive tract (such as the uterine cavity), and the sperm and eggs are naturally combined in the body.
:.The eggs and sperm are removed, fertilized in the laboratory, cultured into embryos, and then transplanted back to the uterus.
Applicable conditions for artificialinsemination
Male factors: mild oligospermia, sexual dysfunction (such as impotence, retrograde ejaculation)
Female factors: abnormal cervical mucus, malformation of the reproductive tract, and at least one fallopian tube isunobstructed
Unexplained infertility or immune infertility.
Irregular infertility due to unknown reasons or immune-related infertility.
Female fallopian tube severe obstruction/hydroponsion,endometriosis
Male severeoligospermia
Patients with repeated artificial insemination failure, elderly patients with low ovarian function, or who need screening for genetic diseases.
If artificial insemination attempts fail repeatedly, or if the patient is elderly with low ovarian function, or if there are genetic disorders to be ruled out, then this method may not be appropriate.
Artificialinsemination
Process: monitoring ovulation → optimizing sperm → injecting into the uterine cavity (no need to retrieve eggs).
Process: Monitoring ovulation → Optimizing sperm quality → Injecting sperm into the uterine cavity (no need to retrieve eggs).
Features: Similar to natural conception, the process is short—lasting about 1-2 weeks—and causes minimal discomfort.
Process: ovulation promotion → egg and sperm removal → in vitro fertilization → embryo culture → transfer.
Process: Ovulation induction → Egg and sperm retrieval → In vitro fertilization → Embryo culture → Transfer.
Characteristics: The procedure involves complex techniques, requires superovulation and surgical interventions, and the cycle duration is relatively long—about 1-2 months.

IVF: 40%-50%(affected by age and embryo quality).
In vitro fertilization: 40%-50% (affected by age and embryo quality).
Artificial insemination: about 5,000 yuan/cycle
IVF: 20,000 - 30,000 yuan/cycle (including drugs and surgery).
In vitro fertilization: 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per cycle (including medications and surgical procedures).
Priority artificial insemination: Those with normal fallopian tubes, mild male infertility or sexual dysfunction.
Priority artificial insemination: For those with normal fallopian tubes, mild male infertility, or sexual dysfunction.
Direct in vitro fertilization: For those with blocked fallopian tubes, repeated failed attempts at natural conception, or who require genetic disease screening.
Note: The specific treatment plan should be determined by a reproductive physician based on a comprehensive evaluation of the couple’s health examination results.
