Dr. Liu Jun serves as the chief embryologist and laboratory director of BHF. He holds a doctorate in the field of reproduction and the qualification of director of a highly complex clinical laboratory. He is an expert in germ cell cryopreservation research. He has more than 20 years of experience in human clinical embryology and reproductive medicine research.

He is proficient in all core techniques in the embryo laboratory, including routine in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic single sperm microinjection, embryo culture and transfer, assisted incubation, embryo biopsy (for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis/screening) and cryopreservation of gametes. The team he led has made remarkable achievements in cryopreservation technology and established a theoretical model to optimize clinical vitrification protocols
